Emmy night…
Last night felt surreal.
I’ve received four career Emmy nominations, and I’ve now had the honor of winning twice. Once in 2023. And again this year.
I don’t take that lightly.
Directing is early mornings, rewrites, trusting your crew, protecting the vision, adjusting in real time, and fighting for the moments that matter. These awards represent the work of incredibly talented teams who show up and give everything.
But what hit me most wasn’t walking on stage.
It was my kids’ faces.
They’re old enough now to understand what it means to set a goal, commit to it, and see it through. When I win, they win.
Grateful for the crews who trust me, the producers who champion me, and the mentors who pushed me to raise my hand in the first place.
Still building. Still learning. Still hungry.
If you’re in a season of building, keep going.
And if someone helped you get where you are, tag them below. Recognition is better when it’s shared.
On to what’s next.
